Bringing Provence to London
This summer we have partnered with Chateau La Coste to celebrate Apéro hour.
When you think of summer, what comes to mind? For us, it’s the sun-soaked terraces of the South of France, meandering through picturesque markets and sipping on a glass of crisp cold rosé at sundown.
With the dog days of summer upon us, nothing is more enticing than winding down a busy work day with l’heure de l’apéro. To bring a euro-summer flavour to London, we have partnered with Provence’s very own Chateau La Coste to, serving up the French tradition of apéritif in the Lobby Bar.
Until mid-September, the estate’s rosé is being poured from magnums, accompanied by platters of irresistible French bites – including charred aubergine with rosemary and thyme, grilled courgettes with lemon, and stuffed baby peppers.
Apéro hour is close to sacrosanct in France, and is a time for friends to come together, unwind from the day and kick off the night over delicious drinks and nibbles.
Amidst cypresses, stone pines, ancient olive trees and oaks, Chateau La Coste’s wine estate stands just 20 minutes from Aix-en-Provence, celebrating a wine tradition dating back to Roman times. The vineyard has seven restaurants, including the Michelin-starred ‘Helene Darroze a Villa La Coste’.
Just like our hotel, art features prominently, with an extensive art space currently exhibiting works by Damien Hirst. And just like us, sustainability plays a huge role at Chateau La Coste. All the wines are biodynamic and organic, delivered overseas by sailboat. The estate also operates an extensive water recapture facility.
Apéro at One is £65 for two, which includes a sharing plate and glass of Chateau La Coste Rosé. Available from 3pm to 11pm every day until mid-September.
